Rethinking loose-fill insulation: What is the ThermoWhite® system?

Rethink Insulation - with the ThermoWhite® system

ThermoWhite® is an insulation system based on mineral-bound loose-fill insulation made from recycled EPS - innovative, CE-certified, and versatile.

ThermoWhite® provides a dimensionally stable, closed insulation layer that significantly improves thermal insulation and impact sound performance. Compared to many conventional systems, the ThermoWhite® system delivers consistent stability with high load-bearing capacity.

Together with selected partner companies, this creates a combination of high product quality, reliable system build-up, and professional service.

Sustainability of the ThermoWhite® System

The ThermoWhite® insulation system based on mineral-bound loose-fill insulation is an eco-friendly alternative to many conventional insulation board systems.

The system relies on natural mineral raw materials and recycled polystyrene (EPS), proving that performance and resource conservation can go hand in hand.

Sustainability is an integral part of the ThermoWhite® system - not just an additional argument.

  • Use of recycled polystyrene (EPS)
  • Use of natural mineral raw materials
  • Positive environmental balance, confirmed by a study from the Institute of Waste Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna
  • Awarded the ENERGY GLOBE AWARD 2019

Comparison of insulation values with ThermoWhite insulation in theory and practice

Installation with ThermoWhite®

(0.049 W/mK)

PRACTICE U-value: 0.818

ThermoWhite surrounds the pipes and completely fills slots and gaps. This avoids thermal bridges and cold bridges. As a result, the calculated U-value is significantly better in real-world practice.

Installation of EPS insulation boards

(0.038 W/mK)

Placeholder schematic EPS insulation boards

PRACTICE U-value: 0.988

EPS insulation boards are more labor-intensive to install around pipes in the slab installation layer. Remaining gaps often cause the U-value in practice to perform worse than expected on paper.

Fast and clean: On-site installation

Perfect insulation in six work steps:

ThermoWhite installation step 1

Just-in-time production with MixMobil

No storage space required, no waste: Our computer-controlled MixMobil produces ThermoWhite® loose-fill insulation directly at your doorstep. This ensures certified material quality and maximum cleanliness on site, because only what is actually needed is processed.

ThermoWhite installation step 2

Seamless enclosure of all installations

No more labor-intensive board cutting. The liquid loose-fill insulation is pumped in directly via hoses and encloses all service lines completely without joints. This eliminates thermal, cold, and sound bridges from the very first step and creates a perfectly insulated base.

ThermoWhite installation step 3

Perfect leveling via reference line

Precision is our standard. The insulation fill is distributed exactly according to the specified reference line and mechanically compacted. This creates a perfectly level surface that remains dimensionally stable even at extreme installation heights and forms the basis for all subsequent trades.

ThermoWhite installation step 4

Homogeneous structure for maximum load capacity

After a short time, ThermoWhite® insulation is ready for walking and forms a stable body. This unit of mineral-bound recycled EPS delivers outstanding impact sound insulation values of up to 32 dB and sustainably high compressive strength.

ThermoWhite installation step 5

Faster progress for follow-on trades

On the level ThermoWhite® surface, system foils and underfloor heating can be installed much more efficiently than on uneven board layers. Thanks to our "Speed Up" component, the system is ready for the next phase after just 12 to 24 hours - a major time advantage!

ThermoWhite installation step 6

Sustainable base for your final floor

Whether screed, parquet, or tiles: The ThermoWhite® system ensures a durable and energy-efficient floor build-up. You benefit from a system that is recyclable, does not need to be disposed of later as hazardous waste, and sustainably lowers building operating costs through excellent lambda values.

This is how the ThermoWhite® system combines high execution quality with an efficient and clean construction process.
